1)   What made you decide you needed help pulling your wedding day look together?

My main reason for hiring a stylist was to help coordinate dresses for my bridal party. Since my bridesmaids were all different heights and body types, I knew I wanted them to look consistent with each other (and with me) but not identical. Julie helped facilitate designing and coordinating their looks from choosing the fabric with the seamstresses to picking out earrings that would complement each of their dresses.

2)   What did you find most helpful about working together?

Julie was really wonderful at pulling together all the details to complete my wedding day ensemble. She helped me design the custom brooch I wore in my hair by pulling together design elements from my dress as well as advised me on the best undergarments that would provide seamless support throughout the day.

3)   How did you feel on your wedding day?

Other than my feet, I felt completely comfortable as well as confident. My dress was strapless so my biggest fear was that I would be tugging at it all night but I never once felt in danger of it slipping down and resulting in an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

4)   What was the best moment of your wedding day?

The best moment for me and my husband was greeting all our guests and feeding off of their excitement and enthusiasm at sharing and witnessing such a special moment in our lives.

5)   What’s the biggest piece of advice you can give to other brides that are planning their wedding?

Practice your first dance in your dress prior to the big day. My husband came with me to my last fitting so we were able to have a little dress rehearsal. FYI–spins are a lot harder with a heavy bustle and beware of doing dips in a strapless dress!
