1) What made you decide you needed help pulling your wedding day look together?

Before I got engaged, I had never, ever considered what I’d like my wedding dress to look like. I just had never envisioned my wedding day and my “look” the way many brides had. So, I knew I wanted to look spectacular and timeless and reflect my personality, but I also knew that I just didn’t have the insight into what options were even available in terms of wedding dresses. Two family friends of mine had used and adored Julie, and I knew I could use that kind of help in putting together my look for the wedding weekend.

2) What did you find most helpful about working together?

Julie is an absolute pleasure to be around and ridiculously well versed in the world of wedding related fashion. So, from the start, she made the whole process to design my look such fun. But specifically, she helped me translate how I knew I wanted to feel in my dress into specific styles and fabrics….which is not an easy feat! I had NO idea and tried about a million dresses before I even had an idea of what I was looking for! She is also very creative about how to change / alter / adapt what may exist in the market to exactly what you want.

3) How did you feel on your wedding day?

Like myself, but more beautiful! Really, the dress felt so perfect for the setting, the day and me.

4) What was the best moment of your wedding day?

Saying the vows, of course!! But there was a really special moment in our ceremony when our priest invited our mothers onto the stage (we were both raised by our mothers) and said a special prayer for them and the love they taught us. It was really beautiful. And, dancing the night away was a blast…but that was far more than a single moment.

5) What’s the biggest piece of advice you can give to other brides that are planning their wedding?

Plan it within the year if you can., your timeline and to-dos will fill whatever time you give it! And don’t sweat the small stuff – I cannot even remember the stupid little things I would fuss about.
